Module 1 | Hydronic Balancing and Control
Purpose of the Webinar:
Understand a hydronic circuit and the functions of the components. Why circulate water and how is the energy transferred to the room. How can flow and pressure loss be calculated and how are valves and pumps selected.
Content:
- Layout of a hydronic circuit and the components. What are the challenges in hydronic circuits.
- Pressure losses in pipes and components.
- Static and differential pressures. What is the difference between them and how shall the product selection be made.
- Valve sizing, KV values and flow calculations.
- Coil output and pump energy.
After the Webinar:
- You will be able to go through a schematic drawing and understand basic functions.
- You can calculate the pressure loss in a system and size the pump.
- You understand how the pressures in a system varies, and the effect of the changing pressures.
- You can select static/dynamic valves and calculate the flow.
- You understand how the flow influences the coil output and the pump energy.
