We are now looking for a Junior Proposal Engineer to join our Marine & Industry Sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build strong technical and commercial skills within a growing global business.

Contract Duration & Future Opportunities

This position is offered as an 18-month contract to cover maternity leave.

However, due to continuous business growth over the past five years—and strong expectations for continued expansion—there are good prospects for a permanent position after the contract period. Motivated, high-performing candidates will have real opportunities to continue their career at Frese A/S.

Your Role

As a Junior Proposal Engineer, you will support the Proposal Manager in the full pre-order process, helping ensure accurate, timely and professional proposals for customers worldwide. You will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and other key stakeholders—playing a central role in quoting, opportunity management, and supporting business cases, especially for our Frese FUELSAVE energy-saving solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical understanding with customer-facing tasks in a dynamic, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Sales & Technical Support
• Conduct valve selections for standard and non-standard projects.
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations in collaboration with the sales team.
• Support the development of Frese FUELSAVE business cases through data gathering and preliminary analysis.
• CRM & Opportunity Management
• Actively use our CRM system to track opportunities and manage customer correspondence.
• Assign quotation numbers and ensure customer information is accurate and up to date.
• Cross-Functional Coordination
• Coordinate with internal departments to support special deliveries, including Offshore projects and FUELSAVE installations.
• Assist Sales in entering new leads from exhibitions, customer visits, and other interactions.

Additional Tasks

• Maintain and update technical and product documentation.
• Support preparation of technical presentations, datasheets, and customer-facing materials.
• Conduct preliminary market research on customers, competitors, and trends.
• Track and follow up on outstanding quotations.
• Provide general administrative support, including document control and reporting.
• Assist with planning customer visits, demonstrations, or technical workshops.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of proposal tools and processes.

What You Bring

• Education within Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Export Engineering, B.Sc. Engineering, or similar (including maskinmester).
• Experience with HVAC, cooling, heating, flow management, or similar technical systems is an advantage.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a structured and proactive approach to your work.
