Frese ALPHA

Damac Heights

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Project Overview and Details

With its height of 1,099 ft Damac Heights stood as the world’s seventh tallest residential building upon its completion in 2018. The unique architecture of the building means that it appears entirely different, depending on which angle you approach it from.

Located in one of the last available plots in the Dubai Marina it rises along – and in most cases above - its neighbors to provide full panoramic views of the ocean and Palm Jumeirah.

Primarily a luxury residential tower, the building boasts 641 units of 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom apartments, of which 357 are standard apartments and the other 284 Fendi branded.

The contractor is REMCO.

The consultant is AECOM.

Solution

Frese has supplied its highly efficient dynamic balancing valves with high pressure cartridges. Frese supplied 1547 Frese ALPHA valves, which have a standard pressure rating of PN 25. The height of the building carried very high static pressures, and the chilled water system needed valves with good pressure rating to withstand the high static and dynamic pressures the system would exert on the valves.

Frese ALPHA was a perfect solution to the modern day hydronic needs of the tower.
